Meet Ashley & Jenay

We believe every story deserves to be told honestly, and beautifully.

Our vision

We are Wild Roots Photography, a duo with a shared passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments.

Since meeting in 2022, we quickly formed a friendship through homeschooling our children and a shared love for documenting the seasons of life. What began as photographing our kids before school dances, graduations, and special events naturally grew into something more.

Jenay brings her eye for detail and artistry behind the camera, while Ashley brings her gift for connection, posing, and making every session feel relaxed and enjoyable. Together, it felt only right to make it official.

Today, we have the privilege of photographing seniors, families, couples, weddings, and businesses throughout the Texas Gulf Coast. No matter the occasion, our goal is always the same: to tell your story in a way that feels honest, meaningful, and timeless.

Jenay grew up in Lake Jackson. Ashley grew up in Freeport. Same stretch of Texas, same golden light, same small town roots, years before either of us knew the other existed.

Turns out home wasn't a place we left behind, it was waiting for us. We met not long after, bonded over homeschooling our kids, coffee, and a shared love for capturing the little seasons of life before they slipped by.

Jenay and her husband Caleb chased new views in Colorado and Montana. Ashley and her husband George moved from Kansas to Hawaii, then San Antonio. Different maps, same restless hearts.
